Nick’s principal area of practice is real estate tax assessment litigation, where he represents property owners throughout New York State in all aspects of taxation, real property valuation, and real estate tax assessment proceedings.

He is experienced in litigating the valuations of practically every type of real estate, including office buildings, shopping centers, hotels, condominium and cooperative complexes, golf courses and country clubs, industrial and manufacturing facilities, as well as residential properties.

Nick has successfully litigated complex issues regarding nearly all aspects of valuation, tax exemptions, Article 78 proceedings, and selective reassessment. He previously represented municipalities throughout Westchester County in tax certiorari proceedings, tax foreclosure litigation, and related areas of municipal law.

Nick has served as the Associate Editor of the New York State Bar Association Journal. He spent time in the judicial chambers of The Honorable Mark C. Dillon in the Appellate Division, Second Department, and in the chambers of The Honorable Laura Taylor Swain in the United States District Court, Southern District of New York.

He co-wrote “Discovery, and Its Absence, in Tax Certiorari Proceedings,” which was published in the New York State Bar Association Journal. Nick is admitted to practice law in the states of New York and New Jersey.
